Our Collective Health

Dear Wondrous Clients,

We hope that each of you is finding ways to feel grounded and remind your body how it is nourished and supported. We know the navigation of real facts, up to date information, and who/what to trust right now is overwhelming. In fact, we are indeed wading in uncharted territory. We’ve never been here before, so we’re not sure how to respond. Our main concern is your health and safety, which is foundational to our mission statement, so that’s not new territory for us! We are here for you, and we will continue to get creative about how to help support your health and movement needs during this time.

First, please be reminded that all of our cleaning protocols have been ramped up. Towels to wipe down machines are now being used only one time, straps are being washed and disinfected, all surfaces are being wiped down regularly. We are now implementing a mandatory rule of washing hands immediately after walking into the studio for all staff and clients. Other efforts you can do to increase your comfort level in the studio include the following:

  • Bring your own mat

  • Wear gloves and/or socks

  • Bring your own towel to use on top of the reformer

  • Breathe deeply when wanting to itch your face, and use those hands to find a plank! :)

If it’s people that scare you, please know that many of our instructors and practitioners offer hours in the studio where there are less (or no!) people. Please inquire about a different time slot if you’d rather stay away from people. Or, if you are a regular class attendee, use this opportunity to consider a private or duo session to mitigate contact with others.

As of now, we are remaining open with normal business hours. We are grateful we are not a high traffic gym or large studio that has to contend with lots of bodies. We are grateful our intimate community is looking out for each other and being mindful of our collective health. We are constantly reminded in these days that doing as much of our regular health routine as possible is the most important way to boost our immune system and mental health.

If you have a compromised immune system or feel it is best to stay away from the studio, consider signing up for a zoom or skype computer session with one of our instructors. It is the best way to stay with your fitness routine, relieve anxiety, reduce stress, and cultivate that happy body without involving any contact with germs. We are here for you. Please reach out to let us know what your needs are during this time.

Wishing you and your families much health in the days to come,

Jessica and the Happy Body Crew
